Bachelors of Psychology

Bachelor in Psychology is a scientific discipline and has importance in the life of individuals and society at large. Within its ambit it includes behavioral science, clinical neuroscience, child and adolescent psychology, psychopathology, forensic psychology and so on. The first three years will make students adept in the discipline and help them specialize in one of the branches of the discipline be it behavioural science, social psychology, developmental psychology etc. The fourth year entails a research project and confers students with an Honors degree. There are many universities in Australia also offering Bachelors of Psychology without the Honors which can be completed in three years. An undergraduate degree in Psychology is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council. You can apply for provisional registration after 4 years of study.
Eligibility:
IELTS Academic score of overall 6.5 with no bands less than 6.0
Completion of Year 12 or Overseas Equivalent. Some Universities may have minimum GPA to enrol.
Scholarships:
Fees would be approximately in the range of A$28,000 to A$35,000 per year.

Masters of Psychology

Psychology is a field which studies the human mind and all aspects that come within that orbit. A course in Psychology deals with understanding individuals and their behaviour within small groups as well as society at large and the various human stages and their progress. Psychology has two important facets one is theoretical psychology and applied psychology. Masters in Psychology gives a holistic and rounded knowledge of the discipline and develops among international students, skills which are required to practice as a registered psychologist. It provides them with the expertise to work with individuals and clients who have differential mental health issues- anxiety, depression, disability of other kinds and other cognitive challenges. Masters of Psychology prepares graduates to register as a psychologist with Psychology Board of Australia (PBA). They have the specific skills and know how to assess, diagnose and treat major mental and psychological conditions.

Completion of a bachelor qualification in the same discipline

Fees would be approximately in the range of A$27,000 to 35,000 per year.
